PRAYER'S PROVISION

        1. Adoration singing

          2. True worship found the Father's throne

          Sin disobedient
          Could not its darkest guilt atone

          Man heartbroken
          Found himself alone.
           

        2. Gone

          3. Were the evenings of joyful bliss

          And closed
          Was Eden - man only reminisced.
           

        3. Love's design

          4. Sent His Son to take man's hand

          He taught us
          To pray, knowing the Father's plan

          Then fateful scorn
          Killed God's Word made Man.
           

        4. Eternity saw

          5.   Crucifixion
              Resurrection
                Ascension
                  Intercession

          God's Son
          Saw the Father give man His blessing

          God's Spirit
          Restored to man His resting
           

        5. Now in faith

          6. We ask, we seek, we knock

          Now in triumph
          We know no doors unlocked

          Now in joy
          Again to our Father we talk.
           

        6. In vain

          7. Some search for other ways

          They cry
          Out their nights, and live out their days.

          And love waits...
          For man's eternal upward gaze.


Maxine Hurston is the wife of Dr. John Hurston. She has served with her husband as a missionary to Liberia, Vietnam, and Korea.
